When Rogers asked The Hive to convey the perks of being a Rogers subscriber to Canadian teens, we thought: “Wouldn’t it be wicked awesome if by gaming online teens could win tickets to go see one of the world’s best DJs?” And then we were like: “Yeah! That would be totally wicked awesome!”
So we designed and created the Deadmau5-themed online video game and hosted it on the Rogers urMusic Facebook page. We also created big box versions of the game that linked back to the Facebook hub. Anyone was welcome to play but only Rogers subscribers with the highest scores received digital tickets through Wireless Box Office and got to attend the private concert.
Oh yeah, we aligned ourselves with Much Music, MTV & CTV (no big deal) and our brilliant event team booked, organized and ran what turned out to be an epic live televised Deadmau5 event and exclusively attended by Rogers subscribers. In all, because of the program, views of Rogers urMusic Facebook page went up 333%, wall posts went up 76% and we saw a 22% increase in fans of Rogers urMusic.
Pretty wicked awesome, right?
