Breast Fest 2011
Rethink Breast Cancer’s Breast Fest isn’t your typical film festival. At Breast Fest, you won’t see reams of red carpet, be blinded by the paparazzi, or witness vacuous panel discussions. What you will see however are real stories, of real women, living with a very real disease.
This year, we wanted bring this to life by contrasting the cult of celebrity with the authenticity of the women starring in the films featured in this very special film festival.
Drawing on inspiration from editorial publications like Vanity Fair, we created a series of wild postings that at first seem like nothing more than glamorous portraits. But upon closer inspection, the headlines reveal the profound nature of a film festival about breast cancer.
The creative also aims to position Brest Fest on par with any other first rate film festival in the world. Just as other festivals celebrate actors and directors, so does Breast Fest. Just as they make you cry, laugh and think, so does Breast Fest. The subject matter might be harder to digest, but watching one of the films at Breast Fest is definitely more rewarding.
